Tim Poterba is a computational biologist, database engineer, and entrepreneur. He spent 9 years at the Broad Institute building Hail, an open-source and scalable genomic analysis system used to create gnomAD and analyze other population-scale genomic data assets like the UK Biobank and All of Us.
After the Broad Institute, he co-founded E9 Genomics and deployed search software for off-target safety characterization to scientists building gene editing therapeutics in pharma.
At Phoebe Genomics, Tim blends expertise in modern database design with deep understanding of genomic data and the potential energy locked within large clinicogenomic resources.
